Designs, develops, and tests electrical and/or electronic equipment, components, circuits, or systems. Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs. Job Description The Electrical Engineer II will work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team developing new and innovative electronics solutions to meet customer needs. The Electrical Engineer II may work in a number of specialist areas including low noise preamps, high speed digital telemetry, digital signal processing, and RF design. Design, implement, maintain configuration management and test maintainable hardware and firmware systems in accordance with the company’s procedure and project specific requirements. Preparing or reviewing typical design documentation (design requirements, schematics, board layouts, technical specifications, and data sheets) Troubleshooting both PCBs and systems using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters. Preparing or review engineering deliverables for existing and new electrical system design modifications/upgrades/replacements Preparing cost estimates or cooperating appropriately with others responsible for reporting the estimate. Apply independent diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices Provide coaching and guidance to and check work of junior engineers, technologists or technicians Other tasks as assigned
