About The Position

As an Electrical Engineer II – Mission Critical in our Washington, D.C. office, you will help us empower our data center clients to trust in the reliability of their mission critical systems to preserve data, protect assets, and save lives. You’ll also lead efforts to achieve energy-efficient building solutions and help operators improve their ability to safely and effectively manage the data center. In this role, you will exercise independent judgment to develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria and interprets and utilizes information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.

Requirements

  • BSEE or BSAE required.
  • 4+ years of electrical engineering experience required.
  • Knowledge of critical data center electrical and mechanical equipment / systems.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience designing colocation data center and/or mission critical facilities.
  • PE License or ability to become licensed.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards, including National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
  • Strong spoken and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective working individually and within team environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, SKM PowerTools, ETAP, Navisworks) preferred.
