About The Position

We are looking for an innovative and highly driven Electrical Engineer to join our Computing Products Hardware team within the Computing Products team. This role supports products at all phases of the product lifecycle, including design & development, transition to production, factory support, and service support. The engineer will be responsible for executing complex microprocessor and FPGA based circuit board designs, including schematic capture, part selection, and simulation. Designs must be optimized for cost, manufacturability, and testability, and strictly comply with DO-160 and DO-254 standards. The role also involves preparing and presenting technical information, leading the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress, resolving obstacles, and monitoring and re-estimating project costs.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience with hardware/software/systems integration

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and integrated system interactions
  • Hands‑on lab experience working with complex engineering and test equipment

Responsibilities

  • Support products at all phases of the product lifecycle (design & development, transition to production, factory support, service support)
  • Execution of complex microprocessor and FPGA based circuit board design including schematic capture, part selection, and simulation
  • Implement designs that are optimized for a balance of cost, manufacturability and testability
  • Implement designs that are in strict compliance to DO-160 and DO-254 standards
  • Prepare and present project technical information to peers and internal/external customers
  • Leads the development of project plans, schedules and budgets
  • Tracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations
  • Monitors costs and re-estimates project costs on a monthly basis to maximize project predictable performance
