About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Advanced Locationing Technology (ALT) R&D team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, testing, and integration of next-generation RF and locationing products. You will work closely with senior engineers to analyze test results, establish design requirements, and evaluate new hardware prototypes using state-of-the-art RF measurement equipment. Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission and storage of electricity. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experiments. This is a hybrid position requiring you to work on-site at our office in Holtsville, NY, for a minimum of three days a week.

Requirements

  • For New Graduates: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Must have completed core coursework or academic projects related to RF design, electromagnetics, or circuit analysis.
  • For Experienced Candidates: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 1+ years of hands-on professional experience in electrical engineering, hardware design, or RF testing.
  • Core Focus: RF Test Setup, Hardware Debugging, System Integration, and Prototype Validation.
  • Hands-on experience or academic proficiency operating advanced lab equipment, including: Oscilloscopes Spectrum Analyzers Power Meters

Nice To Haves

  • Network Analyzers and Signal Generators.
  • Familiarity with RF simulation/design tools (e.g., Keysight ADS), knowledge of RFID reader technologies (backscattering, self-jamming cancellation), or exposure to wireless communication standards (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 5G).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to establish baseline requirements for electrical engineering and RF design projects.
  • Participates in all phases of the hardware design lifecycle, from initial concept and schematic capture to prototyping, testing, and final integration.
  • Performs rigorous RF and hardware test setups, debugging, and verification on new product prototypes.
  • Analyzes system and process performance, interpreting test data to recommend actionable solutions and design improvements to key stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive technical documentation for new R&D projects and reviews historical test data.
  • Explores and evaluates the latest RF technologies, components, and methodologies to drive innovation in existing and future product lines.
  • Assists in reviewing engineering change orders (ECOs), schematic updates, and test procedure modifications for existing designs.
  • Exercises independent judgment within defined practices to determine the most effective methods and techniques for solving complex technical assignments.
