About The Position

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for all electrical maintenance activities at the plant. Ensure electrical project work is completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner and in compliance with environmental requirements. This role involves working cooperatively to plan, schedule, and execute all control system activities in the plant to maximize equipment utilization and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • SAP, Autocad, Project, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators.
  • Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of PLC programming and process control systems (CTI, PLC-5 and SLC 500).
  • Experience in instrumentation, motors, starters and VFD’s, communication.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising electrical and instrumentation technicians in the execution of daily work orders and projects assigned by the maintenance coordinator.
  • Assigning work to the crew, ensuring work is performed timely and correctly, and recording work history in SAP.
  • Managing electrical preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including conducting systematic inspections on all plant electrical equipment, collecting and analyzing data using diagnostic tools.
  • Assessing the condition of process and machinery, assessing risk, and identifying appropriate corrective actions based on technical analysis and risk management.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of electrical schematics and stores spare parts inventory.
  • Ensuring all system programming meets proper environmental compliance.
  • Maintaining system documentation, including master equipment files, regulatory compliance files, equipment specifications, and repair history.
  • Evaluating computer control equipment and their components to assure they meet plant requirements.
  • Defining, writing, and implementing changes to existing process control programs.
  • Providing control system training and guidance for plant personnel.
  • Troubleshooting control system hardware and software problems.
  • Participating in defining, developing, and executing equipment and process modifications to improve reliability, reduce costs, and/or improve safety.
  • Providing electrical knowledge and support for plant maintenance and PLC control projects.
  • Being on-call on a rotational basis.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Promoting a culture of safety and exhibiting safety behaviors.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
