About The Position

This is a leadership position to oversee our machine control and facility electrical systems and ensure they are reliable and current. The role involves working with plant maintenance to develop and lead initiatives aimed at continuously reducing machine downtime related to machine controls.

Requirements

BSEE degree from an accredited university or Engineering technical College with minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
Experience working with machinery in a manufacturing plant setting.
Strong hands-on skills.
5 years of experience in programming and troubleshooting PLC’s.
Experience troubleshooting servo drive systems.
Experience in AC drives.
Demonstrated experience in analyzing and solving problems.
Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).

Responsibilities

Review machine controls and facility electrical systems to identify opportunities/needs for upgrades.
Identify areas of risk for systems failure, assess, prioritize, and implement upgrades.
Plan and execute upgrades.
Monitor systems reliability and ensure a program is in place to provide feedback.
Improve systems consistency between locations.
Troubleshoot machine control problems and implement fixes to the root cause.
Develop and conduct training programs for electricians/electronic techs.
Ensure control systems have adequate documentation and are accessible.
Develop PM programs for control systems.
Review control systems on new equipment purchases.
Perform other duties as necessary.
