Electrical Engineer Co-op - Summer 2027 Term
About The Position
Peter Basso Associates, Inc. is seeking Electrical Engineering Co-ops for the Summer 2027 term to join our team in Troy, Michigan. As a leading MEP Engineering firm, we pride ourselves on a collaborative design process that optimizes performance and minimizes cost. Our Co-op program is designed to provide college students with a hands-on learning experience, offering an accurate view into the field of engineering design for building systems. You will assist engineers and designers with design projects, utilizing software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Responsibilities may include preparing calculations for building systems and accompanying engineers on project site visits for field surveys and dimensioning of existing systems.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering
- An interest in Architectural Engineering/Engineering Design
- 2.7 GPA or higher
- Enrolled in an accredited four-year college, pursuing an undergraduate degree in the electrical engineering field
- Able to demonstrate a basic understanding of engineering fundamentals
Nice To Haves
- AutoCAD or Revit Experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers and designers with design projects.
- Use AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
- Work on building design and/or renovation projects.
- Prepare calculations for a variety of building systems.
- Accompany engineers on project site visits to assist in preparing field surveys and dimensioning of existing systems.
