About The Position

The Mosaic Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op/Intern for Spring 2027. This role will be based at the Bartow site with potential travel to other Florida sites. The internship offers hands-on experience with electrical engineering projects and management, learning from professionals, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work with a global leader. The term is from January 11, 2027, to April 23, 2027, with full-time hours (36-40 per week) and an in-person work environment. A 9/80 schedule may be applicable.

Requirements

Third-year level or above by January 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.
2.7 GPA or higher.
Basic knowledge of electrical theory including AC distribution and transformation, AC/DC motor control, power/analog/digital electronics, and electromagnetic properties.
Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Ability to work full time and be a student in good standing at the time of the co-op/internship.
Basic computer skills.
Experience working in a team environment.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electrical power system modeling software.
1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work experience.
Previous internship or co-op experience.
Familiarity with an industrial environment.
Effective verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Improve electrical power system reliability through projects.
Participate in root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
Troubleshoot electrical power system issues such as power outages, electrical faults, and equipment failures.
Perform software-based electrical power system modeling, including data collection, field verification, and model modifications.
Work on electrical power system relay network expansion.
Analyze existing electrical preventative maintenance plans and develop/implement new ones.
Communicate with various levels of personnel, including management, plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors.
Participate in department and project-specific meetings.
