Electrical Engineer ( Buildings)
About The Position
RS&H is seeking an electrical engineer to join their buildings team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule. The engineer will be responsible for preparing project specifications, complete project documents, analysis, and reports. They will also perform data analysis, design, planning, and impact studies, as well as cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and limited design layouts. The position involves designing complete projects, systems, components, and/or processes, and conducting quality control reviews and field reviews of ongoing construction projects. Additionally, the role may involve providing technical guidance and assigning tasks to junior staff, or managing discipline and small multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- PE license in good standing
- Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances
- Proficient in production software and construction document production
- Passion for formulating and solving problems with timely and innovative solutions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (due to federal contract requirements)
