About The Position

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the team responsible for the development, deployment and life-cycle support of a wide range of electronic hardware training products used within the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP). The training products are used by the Navy sailors throughout the NNPP in classroom and hands-on training to help reinforce basic and advanced engineering and equipment operation fundamentals. The responsibilities include product life-cycle support for existing training products and the planning, specification/design, procurement/fabrication, testing, and installation of future training products. This position requires frequent interaction with government, contractor, Navy personnel, and vendors to define and support the training products; therefore, the preferred candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, the preferred candidate will have proven organization and multitasking skills to be able to manage the competing demands of this position. Some domestic travel is required for the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
