About The Position

Amentum is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Englewood, CO office responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning through final design for projects of advanced complexity under the minimal supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer. The Engineer is responsible for initiating and developing engineering calculations, studies and drawings through completion in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of 7 years of post-graduation professional electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience in power system analysis, including load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, harmonic, arc flash and relay coordination studies.
  • Experience in SKM, ETAP or other Power System Analysis software.
  • Experience with electrical one-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience in sizing and specifying electrical equipment.
  • Advanced level of understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems.
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D AutoCAD, Revit and/or MicroStation.
  • Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • US Dual Citizenship may be considered.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Ability to travel.

Nice To Haves

  • EIT or PE (Professional Engineer License) in Electrical Engineering
  • DOE/DOD/Army Corp of Engineer project experience

Responsibilities

  • Creating electrical one-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Sizing and specifying electrical equipment.
  • Applying advanced understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems.
  • Utilizing 2D and 3D AutoCAD, Revit and/or MicroStation.
  • Communicating effectively through oral and technical writing skills.
