The Electrical Facilitator reports to the Technical Learning University (TLU) and delivers technical instruction and hands-on learning experiences for Electrical Apprentices. The role supports skilled-trades development through classroom, laboratory, and applied training aligned with manufacturing technologies, safety standards, and apprenticeship requirements. It helps apprentices develop the technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and confidence needed for electrical maintenance roles across manufacturing facilities. The facilitator prepares and delivers instruction, lesson plans, demonstrations, laboratory activities, assessments, and course materials. Training topics include electrical fundamentals and print reading; PLC fundamentals; Rockwell and Siemens controls; motor controls and variable frequency drives; HMI and industrial automation systems; CNC electrical maintenance; robotics; vision systems; and applied troubleshooting. The facilitator assesses learner knowledge and hands-on proficiency, provides coaching and feedback, and tracks participation, progress, attendance, and completion. The role collaborates with TLU curriculum developers, program leaders, plant representatives, and subject-matter experts to keep training relevant. It supports apprentice onboarding, orientation, capstone activities, skills demonstrations, and other program events, and updates courses as equipment, technology, processes, and workforce requirements change. The facilitator also maintains training equipment, laboratories, tools, and instructional materials in safe, operational condition and promotes applicable electrical safety, lockout/energy control, PPE, and laboratory procedures. This is primarily an on-site, hands-on training role at a TLU facility, with work in classrooms, laboratories, and simulated manufacturing environments. Occasional travel to company facilities, plants, supplier locations, or other training sites may be required. The position may involve extended standing, working around energized or industrial training equipment under approved safety procedures, and wearing required PPE. Success is measured by apprentice completion, engagement, and demonstrated skills; safe and effective course delivery; learner and stakeholder feedback; technical accuracy and currency of instructional content; equipment and learning-environment readiness; and alignment with TLU and apprenticeship standards.
