Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in electrical drafting or design with a large oil and gas operator or engineering service provider.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and symbols.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong communication and customer service skills to effectively support project teams, operational staff, and engineering drawing users and editors.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of physical electrical equipment operations and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electrical codes (NEC, IEC) and control systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using AutoCAD and related CAD software, ensuring compliance with Enbridge’s drafting standards.
  • Modify and maintain technical drawings based on project updates, field redlines, site photos, and internal drafting requests, supporting multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to resolve drawing issues and ensure accuracy, including conducting site visits and reviewing as-built drawings for conformance.
  • Provide high-level training and support to non-technical stakeholders on department procedures and drawing management systems.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM modeling; experience with electrical codes (NEC, IEC) and control systems is preferred.
