Requirements

ABET-accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
0–3 years of electrical distribution engineering experience.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desire to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

Engineer Intern (EI) certification or ability to obtain preferred.
Exposure to electric utility projects.
Familiarity with WindMil or LightTable.
Knowledge of RUS, NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and NEC standards.

Responsibilities

Assist with overhead and underground distribution system design.
Support engineering analysis using Milsoft WindMil, LightTable, and related software.
Assist with coordination studies, system modeling, and Arc Flash Hazard Analyses.
Participate in field inspections, data collection, staking, and make-ready surveys.
Prepare drawings, calculations, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Learn and apply RUS, NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and NEC standards.
Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, utility clients, and design staff.
Support construction observation and project closeout activities.
Participate in technical training and work toward professional licensure.
