About The Position

HDR is seeking an Electrical Distribution Area Business Class Lead to coordinate, monitor and improve the technical competencies of electrical distribution business class staff and products, aligning them with client needs and market drivers and with the direction and goals of business class plans. The role also participates in project service delivery, area business class efforts, strategic planning and plan implementation, and practice and professional discipline groups focused on improving standards, best practices and quality assurance and control.

The position is part of HDR’s Power sector, which works on electricity generation, transmission and delivery, including grid transformation and reliable, resilient and sustainable power systems. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• 10 years of experience.
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
• Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience.
• Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of HDR's employee-owned culture is a must.

Nice To Haves

• Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.
• Master’s Degree.
• Electrical distribution studies experience, including load flow, arc flash, load growth, etc.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for area coordination, monitoring and improvement of the technical competencies of electrical distribution business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers, within the direction and goals of business class plans.
• Participate in delivery of project services to meet client expectations.
• Collaborate on electrical distribution business class efforts with area operations, marketing and project management.
• Participate in electrical distribution business class practice and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards and best practices, and implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews.
• Participate in electrical distribution business class strategic planning, budgeting and plan implementation.
• Perform other duties as needed.
