About The Position

Villara Building Systems provides comprehensive Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing (MEP) design and construction services for residential and commercial projects throughout California. As our Electrical Division continues to grow, we are expanding our Preconstruction Department to support an exciting pipeline of large-scale projects. Requirements

  • Computer skills including intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Intermediate mathematics to solve problems.
  • Experience working with the tools in Bluebeam.
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AutoCad or Revit is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the electrical design and preconstruction team to review construction documents and develop accurate 2D and 3D shop drawings that support field installation.
  • Produce and revise electrical shop drawings using industry-standard software, including Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu, Autodesk Revit, and other design applications.
  • Coordinate with designers, project managers, field personnel, and general contractors to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
  • Prepare, submit, and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify project requirements and resolve design conflicts.
  • Review project plans and specifications to identify discrepancies, conflicts, and opportunities for improved coordination before construction begins.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and ensure drawing revisions are accurately incorporated throughout the design process.
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge of electrical systems, BIM workflows, and industry best practices.
  • Willingness to improve and contribute to continuous improvement by providing ideas and feedback to manager.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an evolving team.
