About The Position

Aspen Technical Staffing is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Design Technician for an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Greenville, SC. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in electrical design within the construction and engineering industry. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and designers while gaining valuable hands-on experience using industry-leading design software. This hybrid position requires a minimum of two days per week in the office, with additional in-office time during the first several weeks for onboarding and training.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an accredited technical college or institution in: Computer Drafting and Design, Architectural Drafting, Electrical Design Technology, Or a related drafting/design program OR two (2) years of relevant on-the-job drafting experience.
  • 0–2 years of drafting experience within the construction, engineering, or related industry.
  • Experience using Revit through coursework, internships, or professional experience is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Navisworks and/or Revizto is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical design skills.
  • Ability to take direction and apply feedback effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Interest in building a long-term career in engineering design.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical design drawings and project deliverables using Revit and related design software.
  • Work under the direction of engineers and senior design staff to support project development.
  • Assist in creating accurate construction documentation.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, structural, and other project disciplines.
  • Revise drawings based on engineering comments and project requirements.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.
  • Support project teams in meeting quality standards and deadlines.
