About The Position

Join Caterpillar as an Electrical Design Engineer supporting electrification programs in Mossville, Illinois. In this role, you will own the design and validation of electrical components, including pumps, compressors, fans, valves, and related technologies that support Caterpillar's electrified products and systems. As a key contributor within a highly collaborative engineering environment, you will help advance innovative solutions that support Caterpillar's commitment to building a more sustainable future. You will be responsible for component ownership throughout the development process, translating technical requirements into engineering documentation, interpreting electrical schematics and system architecture, and applying industry standards to Caterpillar requirements. Working closely with suppliers, purchasing teams, validation teams, product groups, and technical subject matter experts, you will help deliver reliable, high-quality component solutions that meet customer and business needs. This onsite role offers the opportunity to build deep technical expertise in electrification systems while developing strong cross-functional relationships across Caterpillar's engineering network.
