About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team supporting development, integration, test, and evaluation of complex military systems in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience with the entire electrical design cycle of military systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering or science field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical systems hardware design and integration.
Familiar with Cable Diagrams and Schematics.
Excellent skills in Customer and Team Communication and Collaboration.
Ability to work with software and hardware.
Multitasking of multiple parallel efforts.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with developing technical design packages for complex engineering systems
Experience with presenting and defending technical designs and analyses
Circuit and Printed Circuit Board Design
Toolsets and familiarity: Altium, Microsoft Visual Studio Code, MATLAB, National Instruments LabView, etc
Army programs (DEVCOM Aviation and Missile Center, Space and Missile Defense Command)
Experience with flight test preparation and support

Responsibilities

Conducts and supports the development of requirements for electrical power systems for military products.
Conducts analysis, design, development, integration and test of electrical power systems for military products.
Participates in the development of trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and capability analysis.
Tests and evaluates electrical systems with a team of engineers.
Develops test fixtures and prototypes to diagnose or test specific components.
Create and maintain cable diagrams and schematics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of electrical systems hardware.
Provide technical support to other teams as needed.
Interaction with customers and vendors will be required.
