About The Position

The Raytheon Electronic Warfare - Electrical and Electronics Engineering department in Goleta, California has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer with experience in Test and troubleshooting of complex electronics, fault isolation to root cause, broad technology experience covering hardware and firmware. This role involves designing cutting-edge power supply solutions for industry-leading Electronic Warfare (EW) and Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) systems. The engineer will create and analyze advanced analog and power conversion circuits, implement high-performance design solutions, simulate, and rigorously test hardware in a state-of-the-art laboratory setting. The position requires driving projects to completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and occasionally leading them. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in fault isolation / root cause correct action involving complex electronic systems.
  • Test experience with Analog circuits and / or other related technologies such as power supplies and servo motors.
  • Experience in schematic capture, block diagrams, and parts lists for complex electronic systems.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing airborne electronic products with stringent size, weight, and power (SWAP) constraints.
  • Advanced electrical design capabilities using tools like SPICE, SIMPLIS, MATLAB, ADS, and HyperLynx PI.
  • Mentor Graphics XPedition schematic capture.
  • Experience with switched-mode power supply design and modeling, including working with transformers, FETs, inductors, and other components.
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) components, POL supplies for RF circuitry, and design considerations for integrating analog/digital converters (ADCs) and digital/analog converters (DACs) into complex systems.
  • Experience with testing electronic products with advanced tools like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power supply stability testers.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
