About The Position

We are looking for a mid-to-senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end avionics hardware development supporting advanced hypersonic and high-speed vehicles. You will own critical electrical subsystems from architecture and schematic capture through board bring-up, Design Verification Testing (DVT), and vehicle-level integration. This role requires a strong grounding in electrical engineering fundamentals, deep experience in power electronics, and a desire to work in a fast-paced hardware development environment where you make real flight hardware move quickly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) with 4+ years of hands-on experience in board-level circuit design, analysis, and system integration.
  • Strong EE Fundamentals: Demonstrated expertise in analog and digital circuit design, component selection, tolerance analysis, and root-cause troubleshooting.
  • Power Electronics Experience: Proven experience designing power systems, DC-DC converters, switching power supplies, voltage regulators, and power management circuits.
  • PCB Design Lifecycle: Direct experience designing multi-layer, mixed-signal PCBs (schematic capture, component placement, stackup design, impedance control, grounding, and design for EMC/EMI).
  • Hands-on Lab & Test Skills: High competence using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers) for hands-on board bring-up, debugging, and Design Verification Testing (DVT).
  • System Interfaces & Bus Architectures: Familiarity with common interfaces (CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, RS-422/485, UART).
  • System Integration: Ability to take a design past the bench and support its integration into larger vehicle electromechanical assemblies and harness interconnects.
  • Must be a U.S. Person with an active U.S. DoD Secret clearance (or eligibility to rapidly reactivate a clearance held within the last 24 months).

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience designing electronics for space, missile, or hypersonic environments (accounting for extreme vibration, thermal vacuum, and radiation-tolerant/rad-hard considerations).
  • Experience with ECAD design tools such as Altium Designer.
  • Experience designing high-reliability hardware in fast-iterating environments (e.g., new-space, aerospace startups, or fast-paced defense programs).
  • Understanding of battery management systems (BMS), high/low voltage power distribution, and actuator/motor drive electronics.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end avionics hardware development supporting advanced hypersonic and high-speed vehicles.
  • Own critical electrical subsystems from architecture and schematic capture through board bring-up, Design Verification Testing (DVT), and vehicle-level integration.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees, including: Benefits At Anduril, we invest in our people. Our comprehensive, competitive benefits package (available at little to no cost to employees) ensures you’re supported in health, recovery, and whatever comes next.
