About The Position

This role is for an Electrical Designer within the Engineering – Electrical department. The primary responsibilities include reviewing submittal drawings for customer approval, creating and releasing drawings, part numbers, and special parts for orders. The designer will also produce Bills of Material for panel assemblies and the electrical sections of Operation and Maintenance Manuals. This position requires coordination with Mechanical Engineering on contract projects and involves designing and inspecting equipment for specification compliance. Additionally, the role entails issuing engineering change orders, working with vendors for component sourcing and quotes, and providing technical support to various internal and external departments including Customer Service, Customers, Sales, and Manufacturing.

Requirements

• Computer literate
• Knowledgeable of MS Office software
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Able to negotiate the Company’s position with customers while maintaining favorable relationship
• Proficiency with AutoCad and/or AutoCad Electrical is a must
• Associates Degree in Electrical Design or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Review preparation of submittal drawings and data required for customer design approval.
• Create and release new drawings, part numbers and special parts for orders.
• Produce Bills of Material for panel assemblies.
• Produce electrical section of the Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
• Design and/or inspect equipment for specification compliance.
• Issue engineering change orders.
• Work with vendors to locate components and obtain quotes.
• Provide technical support to Customer Service, Customers, Sales and Manufacturing.
