About The Position

Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard engineering practices and procedures. Seeks code references and design direction from mentors. Performs individual aspects of electrical engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the following: Power distribution both primary distribution and secondary distribution Power generation including standby systems Lighting design and control, including both interior and exterior lighting Power conditioning and uninterruptible power supplies Telecommunications Security and surveillance Fire alarm Nurse call Lightning protection Performs self QC on work and plans for/seeks appropriate peer review of work. Meets with Clients regarding electrical engineering design and projects. Performs field work to document existing conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or an Architectural Engineering Degree
  • Passing Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
  • Ability to work in Revit/Microsoft Office/Visual Lighting Software
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service capabilities.
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to drive to project sites and perform customary field work.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to work in the United States.
  • Responsible for understanding and embodying DWG’s Culture Statement.
  • Process correspondence efficiently, accurately and confidentially.
  • Work independently and in a team environment
