About The Position

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking an Electrical Construction Project Manager for Data Center projects in Lithia Springs, Georgia. This role involves providing overall management in all phases of construction for commercial electrical projects, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring projects exceed customer expectations while adhering to NEC, company safety policies, and OSHA requirements. The Project Manager will work with the Sr. Project Manager to establish project objectives, policies, and performance standards. They will represent the company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations, and manage the financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interests while maintaining good client relationships. The role also requires performing takeoffs and pricing for change orders and project-related work. Work is performed from the Project Site.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years’ electrical construction project management experience in all phases of electrical projects $10M+ including mission critical, ground-up construction, and remodeling.
  • Bachelor's Degree engineering or construction management preferred.
  • Valid Electrical License on Journeyman or Master level strongly preferred.
  • Proficient computer, communications (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Accubid, Blue Beam, Procore, CX Alloy, BIM360, MS Project, P6 and other industry standards.
  • Business knowledge of vendors in respective electrical construction industry.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that our work adheres to NEC, company safety policies and OSHA mandated requirements.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Represent company in project meetings and assist in labor negotiations, strategy meetings.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintains good relationship with clients.
  • Perform takeoffs and pricing for change orders and project related work.
