About The Position

Colorado Network Staffing, Inc. (CNS) is hiring three Electrical Construction Inspectors to support a U.S. Bureau of Reclamation hydroelectric modernization project at the John W. Keys III Pump Generating Plant in Grand Coulee, Washington. The inspectors will provide on-site construction inspection, quality assurance monitoring, safety oversight, and technical documentation for upgrades to hydroelectric power-generation systems, including excitation systems, protective relays, generator controls, electrical distribution equipment, control panels, and associated control systems. The role requires extensive inspection experience in hydroelectric generating facilities, power plants, or comparable industrial environments, along with technical knowledge of electrical equipment installation, hydro-generator testing, protective relay systems, and construction quality assurance. This is a full-time, on-site contract position with an anticipated project duration of approximately nine months. The anticipated contract period is January 4, 2027, through October 1, 2027, with on-site inspection activities expected to begin around February 1, 2027. The anticipated on-site effort is up to 1,560 hours per inspector. The standard workweek is approximately 40 hours, with workweeks potentially increasing to approximately 60 hours and workdays extending to 10–12 hours depending on project needs. Occasional weekend work may be required. Pay is $52–$67 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. The work takes place in an active industrial construction and hydroelectric power-generation environment, involving interactions with government representatives, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders. Employees may encounter industrial equipment, electrical systems, construction activity, elevated noise, varying weather, and other active-site conditions. Government-furnished equipment and required personal protective equipment will be provided. The position requires field mobility and the ability to inspect electrical installations and equipment, prepare reports, and maintain project records. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully complete federal background screening and fingerprinting. They must follow federal facility access, confidentiality, security, and site-specific safety requirements. Travel to and on-site work in Grand Coulee are required throughout the contract period; reimbursement may be available under project requirements and CNS policies.
