About The Position

The Electrical Constructability Lead’s primary function is to support project teams by ensuring electrical designs and BIM models are buildable, safe, and efficient to install. This role focuses on electrical execution strategy and constructability, serving as a bridge between BIM/VDC, field leadership, prefabrication, and project teams to reduce the risk and improve jobsite outcomes. This role is not a BIM modeling role; instead, it is a leadership role centered around installation, planning, constructability review, and early risk identification.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 7+ years of direct electrical construction experience required
  • Strong background in electrical field operations (i.e., General Foreman, Foreman, or equivalent experience) required
  • Must possess a strong understanding of electrical installation means and methods
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction documents and BIM models required
  • Proven ability to collaborate across field, BIM, and prefabrication teams required
  • Advanced computer proficiency and advanced critical thinking skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting data center, large-scale commercial, or mission-critical projects
  • Working knowledge of BIM/VDC and prefabrication workflows
  • Software experience with Navisworks, Revizto, Trimble, Bluebeam, and Procore
  • OSHA 30

Responsibilities

  • Lead constructability reviews for electrical systems across assigned projects
  • Support the Constructability Manager in executing the company's constructability standards and workflows
  • Partner with BIM teams to ensure BIM electric models support installation access and clearances, sequencing and phasing, prefabrication/modularization opportunities, and safety/logistics/site constraints
  • Facilitate early collaboration between BIM teams, field leadership, project teams, trade partners, and prefabrication/ shop teams
  • Attend and actively participate in project BIM meetings and coordination meetings
  • Identify electrical constructability risks early and support resolution prior to installation
  • Participate in preconstruction planning, coordination meetings, and site walks
  • Support installation readiness for underground, rough-in, equipment, and prefabricated assemblies
  • Review drawings, specifications, and BIM models to identify conflicts impacting electrical installation
  • Provide electrical constructability input to preconstruction and estimating teams when requested
  • Capture field lessons learned and support continuous improvement of constructability practices
  • Promote alignment between digital delivery and electrical field execution
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment as required in performing assigned responsibilities
