$150,000 - $204,000Onsite

About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join their Capacity Delivery team. This role is crucial for standing up the commissioning program for over 50GW of capacity this decade, running commissioning and QA-QC for first-of-a-kind modular data centers, automating Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning. The scope includes commissioning electrical distribution from utility interface to rack, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and EPMS from Level 2 through Level 5. The engineer will write and run test scripts for protection, transfer schemes, and failure scenarios at full load, oversee NETA testing and vendor startups, and run integrated systems tests to verify site resilience during utility events.

Requirements

  • Commissioned electrical systems on mission critical facilities through pull-the-plug testing.
  • Ability to read one-lines, protection studies, and coordination curves, and identify errors.
  • Experience running load bank testing at megawatt scale.
  • Ability to hold vendors to test standards under schedule pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MV and HV systems.
  • Experience with EPMS platforms.
  • Experience with protective relay testing.
  • PE license.

Responsibilities

  • Commission electrical distribution from utility interface to rack: switchgear, UPS, generators, and EPMS from Level 2 through Level 5.
  • Write and run test scripts covering protection, transfer schemes, and failure scenarios at full load.
  • Oversee NETA testing and vendor startups, verifying results rather than filing them.
  • Run integrated systems tests proving the site rides through utility events the way the design says it will.

Benefits

  • Pay equity and transparency.
