AECOM is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support projects in the US and OCONUS regions. This role involves technical field commissioning, office-based engineering review, and planning. The engineer will lead electrical commissioning efforts, interact with clients, and ensure systems meet design intent and performance requirements. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing the commissioning process from planning through testing and closeout. This position can be hybrid or onsite and is available in multiple US locations. The role requires leading and overseeing the commissioning of electrical systems, including low and medium voltage power distribution, emergency power, control systems, and related equipment. It also involves providing technical peer review of design documents, initiating and leading quality assurance, developing commissioning specifications and test procedures, conducting site inspections, and executing functional performance testing. The engineer will plan and develop engineering tasks, support project travel (estimated at 30% annually), interpret technical assignments with minimal supervision, and act independently on technical matters. Client interaction regarding schedules, meetings, and issues, along with advising senior management on project status and anticipating delays, are key responsibilities.
