About The Position

The Electrical CAD Designer is responsible for the 3D and 2D design of electrical harnesses, conduit systems, and related components, with a focus on routing and integration within the CAD mock-up. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all electrical components—including routing, modules, control boxes, and sensors—are properly integrated into the mechanical product design. Working in close collaboration with Electrical & Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, and Application Engineering teams, the Electrical CAD Designer ensures seamless alignment across disciplines. The position requires adherence to electrical requirements, industry norms, and best practices while supporting product development, manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in electrical CAD design (harnesses, conduits, or similar systems).
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments (mechanical, electrical, production).
  • Proficiency with CAD software for electrical/mechanical integration (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Strong knowledge of harness routing, conduit design, and electrical packaging.
  • Ability to review, understand and convert electrical schematics (single-line and three-line) to wire routings and raceways.
  • Ability to generate accurate 2D/3D models and drawings.
  • Understanding of BOM management and product lifecycle processes.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering and production teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to deliver fast, practical solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to quality and reliability.
  • Performance driven profile
