Electrical Assembly & Installation Technician

Intermountain Electronics•Helper, UT

About The Position

Intermountain Electronics (IE) builds custom electrical power distribution and control equipment for customers across North America. The company is hiring manufacturing technicians at its Price, Utah facility. This hands-on role assembles and wires custom electrical equipment from early production through testing and final inspection. Entry-level candidates are welcome; IE provides training for people with the aptitude and desire to learn. Relevant electrical, construction, manufacturing, wiring, mechanical, assembly, blueprint-reading, or skilled-trades experience may support placement at a higher technician level and starting wage. The position offers work at a consistent manufacturing facility rather than travel between jobsites, with primarily indoor work on complex custom projects. Technicians install electrical components and build and wire equipment such as control panels, switchboards, transformers, breakers, relays, and PLC systems. Work may include interpreting schematics and other engineering documents, routing and terminating wires, making repairs or modifications, inspecting work, correcting discrepancies, and assisting with testing and final verification. Depending on skill level, technicians may perform continuity, insulation resistance, Hi-Pot, and operational testing, along with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Employees must follow established safety, engineering, and quality procedures, maintain an organized work area, and safely operate, maintain, and store the tools and equipment required for their assigned work. Applicable training is provided. The role requires a 40-hour workweek and additional hours when business needs require. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM, with every other Friday off. Employment is contingent on applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check and drug screen, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
