About The Position

Responsible for participating in the safe assembly, build, repair, and/or test a variety of new and older mobile oilfield service equipment using standard and/or non-standard tools, equipment, and procedures. This role requires considerable judgment to ensure quality, correct parts, and proper procedures are used. The position involves performing electrical and electronics installation, repair, and troubleshooting using drawings, schematics, and applicable codes and safety regulations. Basic knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics, including pumps, valves, and hosing systems, is an asset. The role also includes reading equipment assembly specifications, bringing technical problems to the Lead/Crew Chief, participating in shop organization, potentially training new employees, completing documentation, and working independently or in a team on complex projects. Familiarity with operation controls, safe working practices, and job hazard analysis is also expected.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics, including knowledge of pumps, valves and hosing systems as may apply to electro-mechanical or electro-hydraulic assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Bring technical problems to the Lead/Crew Chief for resolution.
  • Participate in regular shop/yard organization and cleanliness.
  • Assist with training new employees in assembly operations as required.
  • Complete and maintain various records and documentation.
  • Work independently or in a team on complex and multiple projects requiring judgment to resolve problems.
  • Familiarize yourself with operation controls, safe working practices, and job hazard analysis.
