About The Position

The Electrical Assembler operates equipment and performs manual soldering and assembly processes required to build and test an electrical coil assembly to customer specifications. The products produced under this position are all aerospace related. Quality and compliance is critical at all phases of production.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Capable of reading and interpreting meters, gauges, charts, and a variety of instruments
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Well organized and strong verbal communication skills
  • To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with or Certification of soldering to IPC J-STD-001 with the Space Addendum, IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Modules 1 and 2 is desired. Training can / will be provided to otherwise qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operation of manual and automated coil winding equipment
  • Preparation and soldering of coil and PCB assemblies
  • Setup and operation of manual and semi-automated wire stripping machines
  • Setup and operation of a Thermal Chamber, RF Pre-heater and Transfer Molding Press
  • Potting of coil assemblies with two part epoxy encapsulant
  • Manual trimming, cleaning and inspection of assemblies.
  • Performance of dielectric and resistance testing using stand alone or semi-automated systems
  • Installation and testing of crimp connectors
  • Identification and communication of quality issues
  • Accurate and timely completion of all job related documentation.
  • Logging required information in Epicor (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System).
  • General Housekeeping in assigned work areas, evaluate and participate in lean opportunities
  • Employees must be able to read and understand drawings, work instructions and applicable specifications.
  • Complete review of all procedures related to your job per “HR LG 01 Training Matrix”
  • Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in “HR LG 01 Training Matrix”
  • Note: All operations have work instructions which must be followed. Some also have customer drawings and/or specifications which also apply.
