About The Position

Perform basic and routine tasks in preparation for electronic assembly line production. Assemble units using visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions, and wiring lists; manually mask boards; prepare parts for assembly; and kit parts using a barcode reader. The role may also involve operating simple equipment such as swage, wire preparation, contact system, preset dies, and cutoff machines. Follow company procedures, including the security policy, and perform other duties as assigned. The position is not directly responsible for managing other employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend English verbal and/or written instructions and other documentation.
• Knowledge of ESD, safety, and component identification.
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a personal computer using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret graphs.
