About The Position

Timesavers LLC, a leading manufacturer of industrial sanding and finishing equipment, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This is an experienced-level position requiring extensive field wiring and electrical assembly experience on large industrial capital equipment. This opportunity is not intended for entry-level candidates. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience wiring custom industrial machinery, OEM-built capital equipment, automation systems, or other large industrial equipment. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, the ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings, and the technical expertise to independently build, assemble, wire, troubleshoot, and test complex industrial machinery. This is a physically demanding position that requires frequent climbing, kneeling, crawling, reaching, and working under large equipment to complete field wiring installations.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience performing electrical assembly and field wiring on custom industrial machinery, OEM-built capital equipment, automation systems, or other large industrial equipment.
  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience wiring and assembling custom industrial machinery or OEM capital equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Thorough knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, relays, contactors, PLC I/O devices, VFDs, and industrial controls.
  • Proven troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production schedules.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building custom industrial machinery or automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
  • Proficiency using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, megohm meters, and continuity testers.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), industrial electrical safety standards, and best practices.
  • Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete electrical assembly and field wiring of large industrial machinery and capital equipment.
  • Read, interpret, and accurately follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, engineering drawings, and bills of material.
  • Install, wire, and terminate motors, sensors, control panels, VFDs, relays, switches, PLC I/O devices, and other industrial electrical components.
  • Route, label, terminate, and secure wiring in accordance with engineering specifications and company standards.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, continuity checks, and electrical verification testing.
  • Verify completed electrical assemblies meet engineering specifications before machine startup.
  • Troubleshoot electrical assembly issues and support machine startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Perform final electrical inspections to verify completed machines meet engineering specifications and company quality standards prior to shipment.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Controls Engineering, and Mechanical Assembly teams to resolve design, wiring, and assembly challenges.
  • Interpret engineering documentation and independently complete complex machine builds with minimal supervision.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend process enhancements that improve quality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
