About The Position

This role involves assembling electrical components and systems according to detailed instructions and diagrams. The assembler will be responsible for fastening components, installing various electrical parts, wiring, testing connections, and ensuring the overall quality and compliance of the assemblies with diagrams and instructions. The position requires adherence to safety policies and the ability to work effectively in a team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

Must be able to speak, read and understand English
Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
Knowledgeable of, and committed to follow the company’s safety policies and procedures
Operation of small power tools, other hand tools, computerized and high-pressure equipment
Goal oriented and team focused to ensure completion of projects in a timely manner

Nice To Haves

1 year certificate from college or technical school; experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years industry related experience

Responsibilities

Follows and adheres to verbal and written work instructions
Assembles in predetermined order, hardware such as cable mounts, brackets and DIN rails
Fastens units or electrical components in specified locations on panels and boards using fastening hardware such as machine screws, washers, nuts and rivets
Installs electrical components such as terminal blocks, governor controllers, voltage regulators, Speed switches, voltage sensing controllers, watt transducers, current transformers, relay assemblies, fuse assemblies, time delay circuits, transformers, power terminal block assemblies, circuit breakers, jumpers and wire harnesses
Cuts, strips, labels, and installs wire terminals and mounts wires to connect electrical units
Connects lead wires to ohmmeter, or other electronic testing equipment to test connections for continuity, resistance, shorts and grounds in accordance with the wiring diagram
Installs relays, fuses, and appropriate legends
Completes various panels by installing lights, receptacles, gauges, various electronic instruments, legends and instruction labels in accordance with diagrams, drawings written and oral instructions
Prepares and completes mechanical assemblies and enclosures for final assembly on the frame
Verifies circuitry and proper installation of the electrical components for compliance to the diagrams, drawings or verbal and written instructions
Observes workmanship at previously made parts and subassemblies to detect defects and notifies supervisor or quality control inspector
