About The Position

Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, and systems. This role involves reading work orders, following production drawings, and performing various assembly tasks such as crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, soldering, and cementing. The assembler will mount components, connect wires, install assemblies, and perform intermediate tasks like potting and encapsulating. Operation of specific machinery for parts manipulation is also required. Temporary assignments to various Atec facilities may be necessary to support operations. All activities must be conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies, with deviations to be reported.

Requirements

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings and electrical schematics.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

Ability to perform soldering of components to PCB fabrications.

Responsibilities

Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, and systems.
Read and understand work orders, production drawings, and sample assemblies.
Position and align parts in specified relationships.
Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join parts.
Mount assembled components on chassis panels.
Connect component lead wires and route/connect wires between components and terminals.
Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
Assemble and attach hardware.
Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding.
Operate machines that press, mark, drill, or wind component parts.
Adjust or trim materials to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and report deviations.
