Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to learn and develop skills in the electrical field.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Dedication to completing a five-year apprenticeship program, plus a minimum two-year dedication upon completion of the apprenticeship program.
  • Ability to pass required math and reading tests.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical equipment, components, and devices with precision.
  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit to flawless standards.
  • Drill holes for wiring and pull or push wiring through openings.
  • Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, switchgear, MCC’s, etc.
  • Maintain tools & equipment, and ensure the cleanliness of the work area.
  • Keep supplies and parts strictly in order.
  • Adhere to safety requirements and hazard awareness procedures.
  • Attend a technical college for paid related instruction.
