About The Position

F.H. Furr is seeking a motivated and dependable Electrical Apprentice to join its Electrical team in Frederick, Maryland. This entry-level role is intended for someone interested in building a career in the electrical trade through hands-on training under licensed electricians. The apprentice will assist with residential electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance while learning the company’s safety standards, customer service expectations, and technical practices. The position includes paid, hands-on training and career development, with a stated advancement path to Licensed Electrician. The posted hourly pay range is $18.00 to $22.00.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in the electrical trade.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive attitude.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license with a reasonably clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed electricians with residential electrical installations, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
Learn and follow local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
Safely use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
Support troubleshooting of electrical systems, including wiring, panels, outlets, switches, and fixtures.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
Complete required paperwork and job documentation accurately.
Provide professional and courteous service in customers’ homes.
Participate in on-the-job training and company-sponsored education programs.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
