About The Position

Mister Sparky is hiring a motivated Electrical Apprentice to learn residential electrical service, repair, and installation while building a long-term career in the skilled trades. The apprentice works alongside experienced residential electrical professionals and receives paid, hands-on training, coaching, technical development, and feedback. Previous professional electrical experience is not required. The role is intended to help the apprentice develop the knowledge and skills to potentially advance to a Residential Service Electrician, often after approximately 9–12 or more months, subject to training completion, demonstrated technical competency, performance, and business needs. Further career development may include field leadership, training, operations, branch leadership, and other opportunities across Service Minds.

Requirements

Genuine interest in building a career in the electrical trade; previous professional electrical experience is not required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with one's hands.
Willingness to learn electrical tools, systems, and terminology and to continuously develop skills.
Ability to follow instructions and apply feedback.
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
Commitment to safety and quality.
Professional communication skills and a strong customer service mindset.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work in a physically active environment, including attics, crawl spaces, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in construction, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, automotive repair, mechanical work, or another hands-on trade.

Responsibilities

Assist with residential electrical service calls, repairs, maintenance, and installations.
Learn residential electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuits, panels, lighting, outlets, and switches.
Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues.
Learn to safely use electrical hand tools, power tools, meters, and testing equipment.
Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for service and installation work.
Learn proper electrical repair and installation procedures.
Follow applicable safety requirements, company procedures, and electrical codes.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
Protect customers' homes and property while performing work.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners and learn to explain electrical findings and solutions.
Assist with accurate job documentation using ServiceTitan or similar software.
Maintain tools, materials, equipment, and company vehicles.
Apply coaching and feedback while developing skills.
Represent Mister Sparky with professionalism, reliability, integrity, and pride.
