About The Position
Mister Sparky is looking for motivated Electrical Apprentices who want to learn, develop hands-on skills, and build a long-term career in residential electrical service. You'll work alongside experienced electrical professionals, receive hands-on training, and learn the skills needed to grow within the residential electrical industry. This is an opportunity to develop skills that can become the foundation of a long-term career in the skilled trades. This position is designed to help you take the first step toward becoming a skilled residential electrical professional. Requirements
- A genuine interest in building a career in the electrical trade
- No previous professional electrical experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with your hands
- Willingness to learn electrical tools, systems, and terminology
- Ability to follow instructions and apply feedback
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Professional communication skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work in a physically active environment, including attics, crawl spaces, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions

- Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in construction, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, automotive repair, mechanical work, or another hands-on trade is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with residential electrical service calls, repairs, maintenance, and installations
- Learn the basics of residential electrical systems, wiring, circuits, panels, lighting, outlets, switches, and other components
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues
- Learn how to safely use electrical hand tools, power tools, meters, and testing equipment
- Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for service and installation work
- Learn proper electrical repair and installation procedures
- Follow applicable safety requirements, company procedures, and electrical codes
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Protect customers' homes and property while performing work
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners
- Learn how to explain electrical findings and solutions to customers
- Assist with accurate job documentation using ServiceTitan or similar software
- Maintain tools, materials, equipment, and company vehicles
- Apply coaching and feedback as you develop your skills
- Represent Mister Sparky with professionalism, reliability, integrity, and pride
- Work alongside experienced residential electricians
- Develop troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Learn proper electrical installation and repair techniques
- Build knowledge of electrical codes and safety requirements
- Develop customer service and communication skills
- Learn how professional residential service calls are handled from start to finish
- Receive ongoing coaching, technical training, and feedback
