About The Position

We are looking for 1st - 3rd Year Electrical Apprentices to join our team in Duncan, BC! We are looking for local candidates who are committed to safety, quality, and a shared win approach to client satisfaction. This role involves maintaining a continual focus on safety, adhering to all company environmental, health, and safety policies, including daily safety analysis and mitigation. Responsibilities include completing cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems, as well as installing and maintaining EMT and PVC piping systems, batteries, solar panels, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFD’s. The apprentice will interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to execute electrical installation and troubleshooting, and will gain understanding of basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics. Testing electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrician Certification or Indentured Apprentice
  • Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS.
  • A respectful attitude with a strong focus on customer service and exceptional communication skills.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract and the ability to maintain work schedule.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a busy environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.
