About The Position

Surepoint is currently seeking Apprentice Electricians of all levels to join our growing Calgary team. We are looking for motivated, safety-driven individuals who take pride in their work and consistently demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

Must be an Indentured Apprentice.
Valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.

Nice To Haves

Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS an asset.
Previous experience in the industrial or commercial construction settings is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Perform all work in accordance with Surepoint's environmental, health, safety, and quality policies, procedures, and client requirements.
Install cable tray systems, supports, conduit, and associated electrical infrastructure.
Cut, thread, bend, and install EMT, rigid, PVC-coated, and other conduit systems.
Pull, identify, gland, and terminate power, control, and instrumentation cables.
Install and commission electrical equipment including MCCs, switchgear, transformers, VFDs, batteries, solar power systems, heat trace systems, motors, and associated control equipment.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and applicable electrical code requirements.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
