About The Position

Berendsen is a leading distributor of hydraulic and pneumatic products and services in North America, with a large field sales force and 42 locations across the US and Canada. The company offers integrated supply, design, engineering, repair, and warranty services. This role is for an Electrical Application Engineer to join the Drives and Controls team, focusing on the electrification of off-highway equipment. The position is located at the Tulsa Distribution Center.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in electrical engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years in application of DC/AC electric drive systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with software development such as, Plus 1, CoDeSys, C/C++.
• Previous experience with CAD programs.
• Team building.
• Knowledge of off-highway equipment applications in industries such as construction, agriculture, mining, oil & gas, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop system solutions for customer needs, focusing on electric drive and control systems.
• Define system architecture for machine electric propulsion, work functions, and related control systems.
• Assist the Sales Team in customer application discussions and proposals.
• Develop technical material for training and system proposal needs.
• Provide technical support to the Sales Team and for customer product application inquiries.
• Participate in customer machine design reviews.
• Assist in system commissioning.
