About The Position

Dominion Energy is seeking individuals to join their Electric Transmission Field Operations team. This role supports the maintenance, installation, and corrective actions for the company's Transmission, Distribution, and Generating network. The position involves a variety of technical and administrative duties under the supervision of a senior technician. Responsibilities include preparing materials and equipment, managing test equipment, ordering parts, and operating company vehicles.

Requirements

  • 0-1 years of basic knowledge of electrical and electronic theory experience preferred.
  • Effective computer skills with software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with control drawings or wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Prior experience in working with electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical concepts and applications preferred.
  • Prior experience in electrical or electrical system troubleshooting and repairs preferred.
  • Knowledge of test equipment used to perform commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities preferred.
  • Knowledge of software used to perform commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities preferred.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Maintains a clean job site and eliminates hazards when identified.
  • Adheres to corporate and departmental safety protocols.
  • Desire to learn and grow within the organization.
  • Weight restriction of 290 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must live within a reasonable travel range (1 hour) of the service territory.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares material and equipment for work activities.
  • Ensures test equipment availability.
  • Pulls stock materials.
  • Prints work orders.
  • Orders parts and materials.
  • Returns equipment to the manufacturer for warranty repair.
  • Manages the test equipment calibration program.
  • Operates a company vehicle as required to support duties.
  • Delivers parts and materials to job sites.
  • Performs vehicle inspections.
