About The Position

The Electric Technician SR 1 will support the senior electrician and supervisor in the operation of the plant. This role involves overseeing line installation and maintenance for plant equipment, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing various electrical systems including DC and AC drive systems, PLC systems, temperature and tension systems, and all electrical systems from main power to computer level. The position also includes coordinating and completing preventative maintenance (PMs) and work orders, developing PM procedures, assisting in training other electrical technicians, and being responsible for major breakdown repairs. The role requires adherence to plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practices, as well as maintaining accurate time and paperwork, ensuring good housekeeping, and assisting other maintenance personnel as needed. Requirements

  • Associate Degree or Technical school certification in electronics, instrumentation, electrical or similar field of study.
  • Or a minimum of 15 years previous industrial/manufacturing electrical experience.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman electrical license a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.

  • Develop PM procedures.
  • Help train other electrical technicians.
  • Responsible for repair of major breakdowns.
  • On call.
  • Keep up with time and paperwork.
  • Housekeeping.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
