About The Position

This position supports supervisors and senior electrical technicians in all tasks and responsibilities. The role requires a willingness to learn and upgrade skill levels, handle job-related stress, and interact productively with others in the workplace. The Electric Technician B will also oversee the work of "B" and "C" electrical technicians and train other personnel effectively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum one-year previous maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
  • Consistent, dependable attendance
  • Willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capability to effectively manage job-related stress and foster productive workplace interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational education desirable.
  • Knowledge of PLC and electronic instrument calibration desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all verbal and written safety, PPE, conduct and attendance rules.
  • Identify and correct mechanical problems.
  • Maintain good housekeeping (5S and work areas).
  • Perform tasks without supervision/delegate supervision.
  • Train other electrical technicians effectively.
  • Complete all paperwork.
  • Use AS400 to order parts.
  • Follow directions from engineers.
  • Be available for overtime, call-ins, and rotating shifts.
  • Perform other duties deemed necessary by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Provide quality PM jobs.
  • Provide quality line route checks.
  • Know and follow all ISO 9001 standards.
  • Work efficiently with other employees to meet plant and department goals in safety, quality, production, and housekeeping.
  • Follow oral and written instructions from upper management.
  • Work and cooperate with other departments.
  • Attend scheduled department safety and training meetings.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and upgrade skill level.
  • Oversee the work of "B" and "C" electrical technicians.
  • Train other personnel effectively.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and be willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
  • Handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
