About The Position

Dominion Energy Virginia’s Electric Transmission (ET)-Project Management Organization (PMO) group is seeking a highly motivated Electric T&D Projects Manager II to support execution and management of Electric Transmission and Distribution projects. This role is responsible for program and project management of projects ranging from high-volume, less complex work using limited or accelerated designs to complex, high-financial-impact projects, including load, interconnection, substation, new construction, expansion, capital upgrades, maintenance, and other nontraditional work. Ensures project results meet requirements and provides timely and accurate information and status updates to management and internal and external customers. Responsibilities include scope and cost development and validation, permitting, work plans, environmental studies, schedule coordination, financial management, billing, and project settlement. The role may have Non-Dominion Energy Workers (NDEWs) report to them.

Requirements

  • 7-8+ years demonstrated experience in project management, relevant technologies, and in the project area.
  • Experience with Electric Utility preferred
  • General understanding of the principles and practices for transmission lines, distribution feeders, and major substation components.
  • Ability to work and communicate with all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • Effective decision-making and negotiating skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
  • Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Certification preferred.
