About The Position

At Wisk, we're transforming the future of urban mobility through safe, all-electric, autonomous flight. We are a passionate team working together toward a sustainable future, solving high-impact problems that have never been solved before. By delivering everyday flight for everyone, we're making it possible to spend less time getting there and more time being there. If you want to be part of shaping the future of mobility, then read on! We are looking for an Electric Propulsion Motor Lead to join our team. The goal of an Electric Propulsion Motor Lead at Wisk is to ensure that the electric motor systems are designed, tested, and integrated successfully for our autonomous EVTOL aircraft. You will be part of the Propulsion Integrated Product Team that develops safe, efficient and reliable electric powertrains. In this role you will lead the engineering efforts for our advanced electric propulsion motors from concept through certification. You will guide a team of talented engineers in designing high-performance, lightweight, and reliable motor systems. You will have a solid understanding of mechanical design, electromagnetic design and thermal considerations. Your work will directly impact the safety and efficiency of our aircraft. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including battery, avionics, and flight controls, to ensure seamless integration. Finally, you will oversee testing, validation, and continuous improvement of the motor design. This is a hybrid work opportunity. At Wisk, this means working onsite at our Mountain View office 3 days per week with flexibility for the remainder of the days.
