About The Position

Coordinate and plan the flow of information and facilitate resolution to customer and company related initiatives including overhead and underground line extensions, services, street lighting, Company Engineering work request (EWR’s) and other related inquiries. Assists supervisory staff with coordination, planning and completion of company driven projects and efforts. Provides auxiliary support for the dig safe and inspection programs, and other management activities as directed by the Operations Manager or other Supervisors in the Department. Prepares associated documents and ensures project tracking data bases are accurately maintained. Collaborate with co-workers and personnel from other departments to insure the effectiveness and efficiencies of internal processes and to provide satisfactory service to customers. Ensures that all work activities and interactions with customers and co-workers reflect the highest standards for conduct and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible related experience.
  • Proficient at personal computer software such as Excel, Word, and other desktop and information systems.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be available for storm emergency roles in and outside of normal business hours

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, assembles, and organizes information pertaining to all customer and company requests relating to electric service needs to ensure accurate information is collected and processed within the operations center.
  • Assist in the coordination of workflow processes between the Engineering, Operations and Materials Procurement groups, to ensure company initiated projects are processed and completed on time.
  • Ensures that the customer meets certain obligations and provides the customer with accurate and timely information relative to company requirements.
  • Proactively seeks to follow up on outstanding administrative issues and status of projects or service requests.
  • Seek, collect, and record accurate data, information and payments from customers, contractors, electricians, and consultants regarding electrical service requests.
  • Establish, prepare, and organize database records and documents for the purpose of timely inspections and designs by the supervisory staff.
  • Provide guidance and instructions to customers, contractors, electricians, and consultants as it relates to company electric service policies, processes, schedules, constructions standards, and costs, along with property easements to ensure Unitil’ s assets are legally installed and remain accessible.
  • Assist operations personnel with preparing and documenting estimates for the Capital Budget.
  • Prepare and/or finalize accurate letters, estimates, and authorizations associated with customer and Company projects.
  • Prepare accurate meter and street light orders within the customer information system (enQuesta). Performs meter orders for SMART, NET and TOU. Assures proper rates are being applied for all orders.
  • Monitor and update the status of customer and company related projects within associated database system(s) and distribute associated reports and records as needed.
  • Accurately update costing factors within estimating models to reflect most recent changes in labor and material costs.
  • Assist supervisory staff with collecting post construction cost information for customers and company related projects.
  • Assist supervisory staff with scheduling appointments, making phone calls, and miscellaneous project initiatives.
  • Tracks and initiates performance-based refunds per the DPU and PUC Tariffs.
  • Prepare documents and facilitate weekly construction meetings to ensure proper tracking of materials, documents and other means for both Customer and Company driven projects.
  • Undertakes and completes assignments and special projects as assigned by supervisors and management.
  • Provide routine support for any functional areas within Operations as directed by supervisory or management staff.
  • Performs emergency storm duties as assigned
