About The Position

An electric motor mechanic works to identify issues and repair electric motors used in a variety of equipment such as field cores, bobbins, armature cores, electrical motors, generators, and control axillary box. Make connection copper ring or jumper.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in electric motor repair shop
• Able to actively listen and quickly read to make informed and necessary decisions promptly
• Having a good and steady and dexterous hand
• Ability to cut, strip, grind, bend wire leads, or solder at end of coil
• Knowledge on how to examine and test rotating motor
• Able to identify different types of AC/DC motors
• Ability to work under the close direction of supervisor
• Able to use overhead crane, drive forklift

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of production and manufacturing processing
• Knowledge of raw materials and quality control

Responsibilities

• Dismantle electric motor to inspect the rotating equipment that the motors use to generate power
• Repair or component replacement
• Perform diagnostic tests and preventive maintenance
• Record production and operational data
• Make connection copper ring or jumper
